Twenty-five members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) 2015 Batch A stream 1 have been dismissed from the orientation camp in Jigawa state for indiscipline. Their dismissal was announced on the 20th of May. According to the Camp Director, the corps members were found guilty of acts of indiscipline after facing the camp court panel. He added that five (5) others were suspended. During the morning parade on Wednesday, the camp judge said the dismissed corps members would have to return their kits as well as their transport and bicycle allowance (N2500) before leaving camp. Those under suspension will remain in camp and pass out with rest of the Batch A Stream 1 on Monday 25th of May. Some of the dismissed corps members, mostly females, reportedly claimed they were being punished for sleeping in their rooms while camp activities were going on due to illnesses.

According to several online reports, a suspected Boko Haram member dressed as a woman was arrested in Yola, Adamawa State this morning by soldiers who were on patrol. Sources say that when he was interrogated, he revealed that about 30 of his fellow members were already in Yola, and he was on his way to meet them when he was arrested

Reports currently circulating online state that president-elect Muhammadu Buhari may have appointed Managing Director and Editor-in-Chief of The Sun newspapers, Femi Adesina , as his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity. According to ThisDay, although Adesina’s announcement is yet to be formally announced, it has been confirmed, and Buhari’s team is waiting on some formalities to be carried out before making a formal announcement. The report describes Adesina as “a prolific writer and tested journalist, Adesina started his career at the Vanguard Newspapers as a features writer before later moving to the defunct National Concord Newspapers. He is a pioneer staff of The Sun newspaper where he became the editor, and later the managing director and editor-in-chief, a position he will be quitting for the new assignment.”

Well the next trekker will be me or better still i will take a flight because there is progress in these quest for recognition and fame for politicians or probably seeking for appointment. Am talking of the trekkers, We’ve had trekkers and bicycle riders all traveling long distances in honour of their favorite politicians. And now, is it possible that we have a donkey rider in the house. Some social media sources are saying that the man in the picture below, rode a donkey to Abuja (from an unstated location) in honour of president-elect, Muhammadu Buhari , and hopes to attend his inauguration. Funny or annoying? No wonder Omotola won't stop blasting them.

The president of The Nigeria Labour Congress Mr. Ayuba Wabba and the employees of The National Union of Post and Telecommunication on Wednesday shut down the operations of the Nigerian Postal Services in Abuja to protest an alleged decision of the management (of NIPOST) to compel Level 07 members of staff, numbering over 4,000, to join the Senior Staff Association of Communications, Transport and Corporations, against their wish Wabba said that the NIPOST management wrote the Accountant General’s Office to send check-off dues deducted from Level 07 officials of the organisation who have been in NUPTE for over 30 years to the SSACTAC. He said the NIPOST management violated the rights of workers to belong to unions of their choice. Yesterday Tunji ‘Tee Billz’ Balogun celebrated his daughter’s birthday on Instagram with a lovely message and wife, Tiwa Savage , also posted a cute message on Instagram saying: Daddy’s little angel. The Islamic State social networking site has a photo showing a child holding a severed head amid a gathering of other children, which was tweeted and went viral with an attached phrase that said “This is how the cubs of the Caliphate are raised up”, boasting of this heinous act. It should be noted that it is not the first time that such boast is made in which the heads of victims are being carried by children. An Australian Muslim child held in his hand the heads of severed Syrian troops. The head of the Sharia judge of the General brigades “Hawks of Sham,” had been carried by children after the ISIS killed him. This image comes after the disclosure that the children are being trained to kill in the name of religion, in the framework of the preparation of the Islamic state raising a generation of fighters to rid the world of “infidels”.
