ABIA DIRECTOR RAPES 11-YR-OLD MAID TO DEATH
Mr Christian Onuoha has been alleged of raping his 11-yr-old house maid to death last week. This Director of Administration representing the ministry of petroleum and mineral resources on the board of the state's oil producing areas development commission, ASOPADEC has be dismissed from office following the direction of the state government.
The Governor of Abia State, Governor Theodore Orji announced that Mr Onuoha had been placed on interdiction,pending cconclusion of his case by the police.
Commissioner for Information and strategy,Dr Anthony Agbazuere, said that ASOPADEC has been directed to take necessary action as the case progress because it was a heinous crime.
He explained that section 358 of the crime code of the Federal Republic of Nigeria was explicit on the issue, noting that the punishment for rape was life imprisonment, since the victim was dead, the issue of murder came in.
Efforts to get the state police commissioner, Mr Joshak Habila on, when the matter would be charged to court was futile as his mobile line could not be accessed at press time.
