The March 28 General election was promised to be a safe one for everyone and especially the National youth corp members who were fully adopted as the ad-hoc staff for INEC. The reverse seems to be the case now, new reaching us stated that two corp members were killed in Benue state. About two corp members were beaten in Uyo, oron road on that same day. Femi Fani-Kayode, the director of media and publicity PDP presidential campaign organization stated that PDP is leading in the presidential election result by at least 2/3 million votes. He stated this through a press statement today that despite the propaganda of the opposition party, APC, that they are confident of victory. He also warned that they will accept nothing less than the announcement of an election result that is truthful and that reflects the true will of the Nigerian people. That manipulation will not work out or accepted because they have collated figures from various polling booths, wards, local government areas and states in the Federation.

I use to wish while growing up that I turn 18 quickly so I could be able to cast my vote and join in the selecting of my choice leaders because the law say so. Now somewhere in the north these kids turned 18-yrs-old on the 28 march 2015 and queued to cast their votes. I began to wonder if the law was changed over night or is this a plan arrangement to favour a particular candidate?. Nigerians in as much as we are craving for a better Nigeria, that shouldn't becloud our conscience and make us damn those under us because of our own desire to get to the top. Or do we shun the law and do momentary imposed laws? am just thinking aloud i believe i still have some reserved say about my country. The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has declared that it is illegal to trade in dollars in Nigeria. CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele has said that people found transacting in the foreign currency would face prosecution if caught. Emefiele stated this on Tuesday, March 24, while addressing journalists in Abuja after the two-day meeting of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC). “We will be looking at areas where people are making demands for foreign currency; people who are landlords who are asking for rent in dollars; schools that are asking for school fees in dollars or transacting business in dollars,” he said. "The official currency for doing business in Nigeria remains the Naira. Collecting rents or school fees in dollars in Nigeria is illegal. Emefiele on the current Dollar-Naira exchange rate saying the decline was caused by the drop in crude oil prices and the impact on the Naira.

Angelina Jolie has undergone preventive surgery to have her ovaries and fallopian tubes removed, just two years after having a double mastectomy. The actress emotionally revealed that she made the decision after doctors said she was at an increased risk of developing ovarian cancer. Mr Christian Onuoha has been alleged  of raping his 11-yr-old house maid to death last week. The Oodua people's Congress (OPC) on March  16, announced their support for Jonathan and protested that  the chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Jega should resign.   Following this the All Progressive Congress (APC) had threatened to report the president to the International Crime Court (ICC) over a violent protest recently held in Lagos by his supporters.   The opposition party made the threat on Wednesaday 18, via a statement released by the spokesman of the APC campaign organization, Garba shehu.   The APC has reported First Lady, Patience Jonathan to ICC and the court has said that it will give due  consideration to the opposition party's petition.

A  Nigerian group called "Muslins against terror, in a press release issued on their website, condemned the devilish activities of Boko-Haram and ISIS. A husband in Sri Lanka, Southern Asia, has been arrested for organising his friends to abduct and gang-raping his wfe and her friend.   The unnamed man planned with his friends and abducted his wife and her best friend, tool then to Madunagala jungle in Soriyawewa and gang-raping the wife with several of his friends.   The young woman is said to be an apparel worker. The police said the wife worked abroad and both the victim had been abducted in a motor car.   The wicked man is also accused of toturing the women. The man and his friends were arrested when a video of the rape became viral on the social media.

France is revving up a bill set to be passed this week to ban skinny models, they gave new requirement for modelling in the city. The bill is set to ban models who are below 121 lbs as models are been targeted to promote healthy body images in fashion.   Reports revealed modeling agencies or label that hire girls below the required body weight would be fined up to $79,000 or could face up to six month in jail. This would apply to both the cat walk and advertising campaigns.   To enforce the bill, there would be regular weight checks, girls would present a medical certificate showong a BMI of atleast 18 , 5'9 height and  121 lbs weight before being hired for a job

 It is certainly obvious that the corps members in Delta state are not happy with the Independent National electoral commision (INEC) training officials in Delta state, Asaba to be precised.   These geared out after the corps members found out that other corp members in other states have recieved their INEC training allowance whereas the reverse is the case in theirs.   The training which ended around february  has been re-slated for another training starting from March 18 to the 20th. The price of global benchmark Brent crude oil fell about three per cent on Monday to a six- week low of $52.50 per barrel, less than a week after the National Assembly adopted $53 per barrel as the 2015 budget oil price benchmark. Oil prices dropped by more than 60 per cent between June 2014 and January 2015, but have recently shown signs of stabilising. Brent crude, against which Nigeria's oil is priced, bounced back from six-year lows to around $60 per barrel in January, while the United States' benchmark West Texas Intermediate fluctuated around the50 mark. Last week, the Senate and the House of Representatives settled for $53 as the crude oil benchmark price for this year's budget, down from $65 proposed by the Executive. The sharp decline in oil prices had last year forced the government to adjust the benchmark price for the 2015 budget twice from $78 to $73, and later to $65. Brent, which fell below $53 per barrel early on Monday, later rose to $53.55 in the evening.

Three judges have been fired for allegedly viewing pornography at work-a fourth would have been sacked but resignedd first.  A spokesperson for the judicial conduct investigations office confirmed that District judge Timothy Bowles, immigration judge Warren Grant and deputy District judge and Recorder Peter Bullock have been removed from the office in the UK. Their sacking follows an investigation into an allegation  that they viewed pornographic material on judicial IT equipment in their offices. The spokesman added that the lord chancellor and Lord chief justice were " satisfied that the material did not include images of children or any other illegal content". Nevertheless, the body "concluded that this was an inexcusable misuse of their judicial IT accounts and wholly unacceptable conduct for a judicial office holder.
