Forbes has released its list of the 100 Top-Earning Celebrities of 2015 , and it’s got one of the top earners – Katy Perry as it’s cover girl. With the likes of Beyoncé, Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather, Taylor Swift, One Direction and more on its list, you can only wonder who beat who in the battle of the money makers. No surprise here, Floyd Mayweather is at the top of the list with $300 Million, just ahead of his fellow boxing champ Manny Pacquiao with $160 Million. Katy Perry drops in at No. 3 with $130 Million and One Direction follows with $130 Million. Sad news for Beyoncé fans as the Queen B has been dethroned, and dropped to the 29th spot. In response to the plunge in oil prices, Royal Dutch Shell is cutting 6,500 jobs in Nigeria and at the rest of its global operations and will reduce capital spending by 20 percent this year, Business Day reports. The company announced the news on Thursday. It was also revealed that its investment this year would decline $7bn from last year amount to about $30 billion, which is said to be a bigger reduction than was forecast three months ago, as it cancelled and postponed new projects. In addition, the report states: The action comes amid savage cost-cutting and industry-wide moves to push back billions of dollars of spending on new projects, following the collapse in crude prices over the last year. Some $200bn of spending on major oil and gas projects has now been deferred since the crude price began falling, a decline that accelerated when OPEC opted not to cut output in the face of soaring US production.

We are super excited and happy for industry couple Tiwa Savage and Tunji ‘Tee Billz’ Balogun as they welcome their first child, a baby boy. The couple announced their pregnancy news as we welcomed in the New Year in January click here if you missed it and we have been keeping you updated about Tiwa’s pregnancy journey. President Barack Obama has visited his father's homeland a few times in the past; in 1988, 1992, 2006 before his visit yesterday. His first visit was in 1988. He was on a journey of self-discovery to know more about his heritage and his father, who split from his mum 2 years after he was born. Nigeria ’s number one beer brand, Star Lager, recently made history as it unveiled a new brand extension, Star Triple X .Considered as Nigeria’s first beer with extra benefits, Star Triple X is the result of a painstaking research embarked upon by Star lager beer; which had the brand asking consumers what more it could do for them. Consumers echoed that they wanted “extra”.
